Today Hannah has been pretty upbeat. She is still not cracking many smiles but she is definitely showing much more personality. At this point, I don't think we will get our smiling girl back until we get home. As far as when we are heading home, say some extra prayers for Hannah tonight. The doctor said if she has a good night we will get to head home tomorrow!! YEAH! We are trying not to get our hopes up to much, but it sure sounds nice right about now!
The doctor came in this afternoon and we spoke briefly with no definitive plans, but it looks like as of now they do not need an MRI. The CT seemed to be sufficient for what they need for surgery. We also discussed that they are definitely going to be getting together to discuss about writing the board for "exception points" to move Hannah up on the list. Portal hypertension can cause some serious complications over time so we hope and plan to have her transplanted before any of those may arise.
As far as when transplant will take place, well that is all in God's hands now. It is hard to live with the thought that someone's devastating loss is going to be our glorious gain! It is so hard to explain in words how we feel about this whole process, but we just try to focus on the main goal which is getting Hannah healthy!
So everyone please say some extra prayers for Miss Hannah tonight that we get to go home. We are all ready to get back to our werid but great norm!!
Praying for a good night for all of you, so you can go home. Nothing quite like home. But remember that all of you together is what makes it home...wherever that may be.
