Thanks Jacob for taking the fall this month! Love, Hannah:)

I know it has been awhile, usually no news is good news which is the case for Hannah!!

Hannah had her labs and weight check last Tuesday, and she gained more weight!! She is up to 14lbs 3.5oz. They were very impressed with how well she is eating on her own. Her labs were about the same levels but her medication level is at a point they were hoping for it to get too. One of the liver enzymes is still just a bit above normal, but for now they aren't going to do anything. So the next appointment we have is not until July 13th!   That is as long as we don't have any unexpected gremlins pop up, so her no gremlins sign is tightly secured to her bedroom door! Of course, the appointment is on Friday the 13th:/    Ohhh how I hate the number 13!!

This week was going to be the first week in over two months we were not going to have to visit a hospital for any reason, and sure enough what happened.....................................We went to the hospital but for Jacob!  I am guessing he is trying to take the fall for her this month!  This morning he busted his head on the entertainment center and had his first trip to the hospital since he was born (at least from a stand point we were there for him!).  I tell you it is never a dull moment in this family right now!

She has been seen by PT and OT from First Steps to start her therapy.  PT's assessment put her behind 3-4 months with her motor skills, which was expected.  The encouraging news was the therapist was happy with how strong Hannah was and willing to let her work with her.  The OT said she was age appropriate and didn't think she needed any extra therapy unless a problem arises!  The last person we will see is the Dietician which will be a big help with coming up with meal plans for Hannah that get her the most calories in the smallest portions.  I think the dietician will become very important because wants Hannah starts moving, we have a feeling she is really going to go!!  Overall, though nothing from any of the assessments were surprising which is encouraging.

The only unfortunate news I have to report is Hannah's Great Grandma Rose is not doing to well. Ever since Easter, she has been going down hill. Unfortuantely, with everything that was going on with Hannah, I was truly not aware of how sick she had become. Finally when things slowed down for us, I went to go see her and she didn't even know me:(.   It broke my heart and it was so hard to see my grandma in this state.   She is the strongest person I know.  I'd like to think she is who I inherited my strength.   I have always admired her as a person and for the life she made for herself.  My definition of Rose is not only beauty but strength. She is truly an amazing person, and that is why I put her name with Hannah's. Hannah Rose has already proven she can live up to her name thus far, and someday I will tell Hannah that I believe her great grandma's strength was passed on to her for a reason.  It has not only helped her endure what she has so far but will continue to get her through any other obstacle that stands in her way.   As Hannah continues her life, we know GG will be watching over her every step of the way.....

Please say an extra prayer for GG tonight....
